Commercial Advertising Photographer
Harry Gils is a photographer based north of Toronto on the shores of Georgian Bay, where a lifelong fascination with images continues to shape his work. His journey behind the camera began early, photographing airplanes with his mom’s 110 film camera—a simple beginning that sparked a passion for capturing moments that might otherwise disappear in an instant.
That instinct for the decisive moment followed Harry into Toronto’s skateboarding scene, where he learned to anticipate the action and freeze raw, split-second moments with energy, character, and visual punch. From gritty street sessions to polished commercial campaigns, Harry brings the same curiosity and instinct to every shoot.
His easygoing personality, collaborative approach, and sharp eye for composition have taken him around the world, creating dynamic imagery for national clients including Bell and McDonald’s.
